cat in the summer

cat in the summer

Summertime can be a difficult season for cats, especially if they’re outdoor kitties. Hot weather and excessive heat not only makes outdoor activities less enjoyable but also increases the risk of dehydration and sunburns. Lucky for you, there are plenty of ways to help your furry friend stay cool this summer!
First things first – make sure that your cat always has access to fresh water so they stay hydrated in hot temperatures. Consider keeping multiple water dishes dotted throughout the house or garden; one inside and two out – if possible positioned in shaded areas away from direct sunlight - just in case some get tipped over by playful paws! You might even want to invest in special pet fountains which continuously circulate coldfiltered running water during those sticky days.
Secondly, ensure that air-conditioned rooms are open for use when needed so your cat can beat the heat without being too close to an uncomfortable source of extreme temperature change like an open window on a sunny day! Keep these spaces equipped with scratching posts or other stimulating toys so he/she doesn't feel left Out while you’re trying to keep them safe indoors away from any potential dangers outside such as stray animals fighting over territory etc..
Finally, maintain regular grooming habits with short trims around their neck fur (especially longhaired breeds) where most felines tend carry more excess weight because it accumulates sweat more easily… unless cutting his claws is part of what needs done then using appropriate safety clippers should do just fine minus risking any accidently nips into sensitive skin area's again good luck everyone have great summers time
